Since the Covid-19 lockdown we have been running our full clinic lists via video-call sessions, using Facetime or WhatsApp video, and this has proved very popular with our patients. NOw with the gradual easing of the lockdown, many physiotherapy practises have now reopened their doors, following the official guidance in regard to hygiene and social distancing, and with both patient and physiotherapist wearing masks (as social distancing requirements cannot be maintained during hands-on treatments). As our work necessitates seeing the whole of the patient’s face, currently we are still unable to hold face-to-face consultations.
Over the next few weeks and months, as the lockdown eases further, we anticipate being able to offer in-person appointments again, possibly starting in October. Of course, guidance might change in response to the infection rates, so this is by no means a definitive time-line; and until this time, we will continue to provide video-call sessions.
