When he was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma brain tumour at the age of 40, Andrew Read had brain surgery under the Manchester Skull Base team and facial rehabilitation here at the Lindens clinic.
He has now succeeded in running no fewer than 12 marathons in a period of 1 year, raising more than £6,000 for charity.
Here is a link to a newspaper article about this tremendous achievement.
Andrew wrote to us saying: “I love the fact that the Manchester skull base team and the Lindens have given me this massive amount of confidence and a real love for life now going forward in the future.”
It’s been a privilege to be part of your rehabilitation journey, Andrew, and we look forward to hearing about (and sponsoring you for) your future challenges.
Andrew is planning on running another marathon next month, then has even greater challenges later on this year: a 47mile run in May, and in September a 70mile run over 2 days.
