Family Letter

Re: Maggie Cook

Before treatmentMaggie’s family contacted 12 years after her Bell’s Palsy with the following comments.

“In 1988 you successfully treated my 87 year old Mother, Maggie Cook, with your electric stimulator. She was suffering badly from Bell’s Palsy. The results were amazing, you might be interested to know that she only died one year ago this week aged 98. She was still very beautiful and in excellent form only days before she died.

We write with grateful thanks for enabling my mother to enjoy the last eleven years of her life.”

I remembered Maggie well and have used her photographs. I wrote back to the family requesting the use of the before and after photographs on my web page. Older patients are often told that their age is against them! “You’re very lucky it isn’t a stroke, you have Bell’s Palsy but you wont recover”

After treatmentNumbers of people have drawn strength from seeing Maggie’s smiling face. The family replied to my request:-

“How lovely that you remember my Mum so well but the change in her was almost miraculous. All our family think that it will be really splendid if she starred on your web page. She would have been so proud to think that her photographs gave very distressed people hope. Very apt too, the web, she was always a forward looking lady and she really was a star.”
